   Djoko KS
     exhibited twice in our gallery.
He was a master painter, born in Solo (d. 2012)
     of Chinese Indonesian descent.
     He studied architecture before
     becoming a self-taught artist. A long
     process of experimentation
led to the calligraphic style he
     became famous for, working on
layers of paper, textures and bold
     brush strokes.
