Misran DS was
born in Binjai Kabupaten Langkat,
Sumatra in 1929. Died Denpasar 2003.
A self taught artist. He moved to Bali in 1966 and
was inspired by the culture and scenes of rustic
village life.
His oil paintings are full of texture, subtle colour
and charming innocence.
